Koronavirus adalah virus dari familia Coronaviridae yang dapat menyebabkan penyakit pada burung dan mamalia (termasuk manusia).[1] Struktur tubuh virus (virion) ini terdiri dari membran, selubung lipid bilayer (envelope), glikoprotein yang menyerupai paku (spike), genom RNA positif, dan protein nukleokapsid.[2] Glikoprotein koronovirus dapat berikatan dengan glikoprotein permukaan sel inang secara spesifik untuk memulai terjadinya infeksi.[3] Koronavirus diklasifikasikan menjadi tiga golongan utama, golongan 1 dan 2 menginfeksi mamalia, mulai dari kelelawar hingga manusia, sedangkan golongan 3 hanya ditemukan pada spesies avian (burung).[3] Infeksi virus ini dapat menimbulkan gejala penyakit yang bervariasi, mulai dari hampir tidak timbul gejala apapun hingga gejala yang fatal dan cepat.[1] Infeksi koronavirus dapat menyebabkan berbagai penyakit, seperti bronkitis, ensefalitis, gastroenteritis, dan hepatitis.[1]

    As stated by Stanford Medical, It's indeed the SINGLE reason women in this country get to live 10 years more and weigh an average of 19 KG less than we do.

    (By the way, it has totally NOTHING to do with genetics or some secret diet and EVERYTHING about "how" they are eating.)
